Southwest Displays & Events is now SWX Global Design & Production

Name Change for 33-Year-Old Company Reflects Growth in Offerings & Reach

For more than 30 years, Dallas, Texas-based Southwest Displays & Events, a Cree Visual Marketing Company, has specialized in providing clients with total exhibition solutions. On their 33rd year anniversary April 1 (no foolin’), they are excited to announce the changing of their name to SWX Global Design & Production to greater reflect how much they have grown and are now working worldwide. As one of the most financially consistent independent tradeshow companies in the U.S., with offices also in Las Vegas, Nevada, and Cincinnati, Ohio, SWX Global provides global event service offerings on the main exhibition continents. Over the years, SWX Global has formed strong relationships with exhibition contractors around the world enabling them to offer their services on a global scale, and allows their clients to know that they’re working with a trusted partner—whether they’re opening up in Brazil or Dubai, or anywhere in between. SWX Global is also a founding member of Sho-Link, an international network of professional I&D specialists. So, not only can they design, build and transport your exhibit, with Sho-Link, they can install and dismantle it as well. Through Lucky Exhibits, based in Las Vegas, Nevada, and also a Cree Visual company, they provide clients with the opportunity to buy, store or sell used exhibits online at www.luckyexhibits.com.

They are also excited to announce the debut of BYOB – their brand-new on-line “Build Your Own Booth” site at www.buildyourownbooth.com enabling their potential clients to create and customize their own booths on-line. The website, powered by SWX Global, allows you to select samples of pre-designed exhibits they customize to fit your needs…all within 72 hours! The result? Thousands in savings from traditional exhibit design purchasing.

Brian Cree SWX Global CEOSWX Global is a privately-held company and CEO/Owner Brian Cree (pictured left) joined Southwest Displays as an account executive in June 1991. He was promoted to executive vice president of sales and marketing in 1997 and then purchased the company in August 2001 (just one month before September 11!), changing its name to Southwest Displays & Events. With the newly-created entity, diversification was the key to stability; specializing in custom tradeshow exhibits, custom retail displays and corporate environments, the company achieved a strong financial base and posted record sales revenues in 2002 and 2003. Today, Cree’s companies allow online access to all phases of clients who may be exhibiting to design, buy or sell online.

Cree has taken a proactive stance during the current COVID-19 crisis and has kept all of his current staff on the payroll during the shutdown. He wrote a memo to his employees that was later posted on their company’s Facebook page that says that he isn’t waiting for the government to bail out his company (he figures the tradeshow companies will probably be pretty “low on the totem pole” compared to American Airlines and other high-profile companies). Cree wrote to his staff, “I am refinancing my personal real estate holdings to cover our expenses. For now, this raising of capital will keep us going in these tough times. Further, I intend on keeping our timeline with our rebranding efforts. Keep the faith and wash your hands. #SWXGLOBALstrong.”

SWX Global Design & Production is one of the largest independent tradeshow companies in the U.S., and has been in business for 33 years, starting out as Southwest Displays, Inc. With offices in Las Vegas, Nevada; Cincinnati, Ohio; along with strong relationships with exhibition companies around the world, they are able to design, build, transport and I&D your exhibit on a global scale…all online! They offer clients the opportunity to BYOB (build your own booth) at www.buildyourownbooth.com and the opportunity to buy, store or sell used exhibits online through luckyexhibits.com.
