First-of-its-kind social network and e-commerce SaaS platform CampfireSocial continues to bolster its customer success team with the recent hiring of Steve Gebhart as its new chief information officer. Gebhart has more than 25 years of experience leading diverse teams from design to release to operations.
In his role, Gebhart will be spearheading CampfireSocial’s product strategy, technology development and innovation pipeline. Through his commitment to rapid innovation, CampfireSocial will continue to provide trade associations, event organizers, corporate partners and educational institutions with additional forms of revenue, unparalleled business intelligence and member & sponsor ROI. Gebhart will work closely with CampfireSocial customers, end users and the leadership team, leveraging CampfireSocial’s technology to bring value to customers.
“Steve joins us with a wealth of knowledge, skills and expertise that will not only drive our client success forward but also ensure that CampfireSocial is hitting the needs of each organization we work with,” says Erica Bishaf (pictured right), founder and CEO of CampfireSocial. “I am extremely confident in his abilities and eagerly look forward to the successes and growth he will bring to CampfireSocial.”
Gebhart comes to CampfireSocial after spending the past few years as a consultant working primarily to launch TalkTemperament, a telehealth counseling service as well as other analytics and event-based consulting. Prior to that, Gebhart spent three years at Western Veterinary Conference (WVC, now known as Viticus Group), managing technology, marketing and sales as CTO and CIO. In his last nine months at WVC, he led the organization as interim CEO, continuing revenue and profit improvements amidst a wide-scale transition while executing the highest attended conference in their 92-year history.
Gebhart also brings tradeshow industry experience, having served as vice president of digital product development for worldwide operations at Global Experience Specialists in Las Vegas. While at GES he led a multi-country team to design, build and deploy a global e-commerce and content rich web and mobile platform that has grown web sales for GES from $4M to $100M during his five years in this role. Prior to this he was vice president and general manager of business development at Zappos.com, where he managed two business units successfully adding new revenue and new revenue channels of $39M.
“CampfireSocial is an exciting platform that tackles a lot of the problems in the tradeshow industry that I’ve witnessed firsthand, from my time in product development at GES to my years as a customer when at WVC. Applying my design thinking ideology, I look forward to understanding CampfireSocial’s clients and end users to continuously identify opportunities for innovation,” says Gebhart.
