SupplySide Global 2025 Showcases Innovation and Efficiency

by Debbie Hall

The global health and nutrition industry converged once again at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center for SupplySide Global 2025, Informa Markets, held Oct. 27-30, uniting supplement, food, beverage and wellness professionals from across the supply chain. Presented by Flagship Sponsor KSM-66 Ashwagandha, the B2B event offered innovation, education and connection in the nutrition and wellness sectors.

Over 1,600 exhibiting companies, each representing a unique facet, filled the show floor. From ingredient suppliers and contract manufacturers to finished product brands, packaging experts, laboratory services and specialized solution providers, the diversity was staggering. Industry giants like Nature’s Way, GNC, Nestlé Health Science, Unilever, PepsiCo, Walmart, The Coca-Cola Company, Procter & Gamble, L’Oréal, and Anheuser-Busch, came together to showcase new products, share insights and shape the future of health and wellness.

With the debut of the Level 2 Exhibition, this year’s expanded Expo Hall offered the opportunity to discover innovations in the industry. The New Exhibitor Zone drew strong interest as startups unveiled next-generation solutions in plant-based bioactives, clean-label development and sustainable sourcing that are redefining the future of wellness products.

Drawing professionals from more than 70 countries, the event reflected the wellness industry’s global evolution, driven in part by Gen Z and millennial consumers who now represent 41 percent of wellness spending in the U.S. With the worldwide wellness market projected to reach $9 trillion by 2028, exhibitors and educators focused on emerging trends such as functional nutrition, mental wellness, healthy aging and sustainable ingredient innovation. Participants explored the conceptualization, development and manufacturing of the next generation of products focused on longevity, sports nutrition, personal care and overall health and wellness.

This year’s edition marked a milestone in attendee experience innovation, unveiling AI-powered planning tools that streamlined preparation and enhanced on-site engagement. The new AI Pass Picker helped participants identify the best registration option for their business roles and goals and generated tailored agendas and recommended sessions, exhibitors and networking opportunities aligned with objectives.

SupplySide Global provided an educational program addressing the industry’s most pressing topics—GLP-1 medications, tariff impacts, AI integration, innovative packaging and ingredient traceability. Specialized workshops and guided tours provided attendees with hands-on learning, including the Natural Food Coloring Tour and the Data-Driven Supplement Trends Tour, which offered focused insights into fast-moving categories.

“My chef friends don’t quite know how to approach food and beverage because people’s appetites just aren’t nearly the same,” said Chef David James Robinson. “Some people’s approach to veganism was about weight control initially, and now that GLP-1 is in the picture, everything has changed.”

Chef Robinson included vegan options in his restaurants, events, and on any menu he created. “In the beginning, I was shocked by the number of people who opted into a vegan entrée. We do need to consider the cost, the options for local sourcing, sustainability, labor and transportation. With the options available to us, we can incorporate wellness into food and beverage.”
