She was born and raised in Maui and attended The University of Hawaii at Manoa in Oahu where she double majored in marketing and international business with a minor in Japanese language. She is very familiar with both the island of Maui as well as the entire state of Hawaii. She married her high school sweetheart and has two daughters. As a family, they love to go to the beach and spend as much time outdoors as possible. She has been to more than 11 countries and considers herself to be an avid traveler, which she believes is key to working in the industry.

“I am delighted to join the team at Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa, and help showcase all of the amazing amenities that the resort has to offer to leisure travelers while experiencing true Hawaiian hospitality,” says Higa. “It is my job to ensure that guests continue to enjoy our beautiful island of Maui with newfound excitement and wonder. I look forward to elevating the property’s reputation and securing leisure bookings for the remainder of 2021 and beyond.”
