The Greek Contractors Association presents at EuroShop 2011

The curtain is about to rise on the Hellenic Association of Exhibition & Event Contractors (HAEEC) at EuroShop 2011 in Düsseldorf, February 26-March 2.

The association will be introduced through its presence as a sponsor of IFES (International Federation of Exhibition and Event Services).

Organized every three years, EuroShop is the international exhibition on shop fitting, store equipment and fixtures, architecture and store design. An important component of Euroshop is the EuroExpo sector, which is dedicated to stand construction, exhibition design and event technology.

A number of events have been scheduled by IFES (International Federation of Exhibition and Event Services) at Euroshop 2011, among which is the launch presentation.

At 2 p.m., Sunday, February 27 HAEEC will present its mission and activities at the IFES stand. HAEEC is the newly founded association in Greece that represents all professionals in the field of events constructions, decoration and temporary architecture.

The main goals of HAEEC is to promote the Greek exhibition and conference industry, reinforce its development and bring together the companies that are active in this sector with common issues.

For example:
• Supporting and promoting the economic and professional interests of its members.
• Developing the sense of responsibility and fair play.
• Studying the problems of the exhibition and conference industry in Greece, and finding the best possible solutions that prevent unfair competition.
• Work in favour of smooth operation and development of the exhibitions and events industry.

In order to set a proper plan of action, HAEEC thoroughly researched issues that trouble the exhibitions and events sector in Greece. The top three positions of the list feature unfair competition, construction company relation, organizers/exhibition venues and labour relations.

According to research results, a key issue to be addressed is the official trade certification of the companies. This issue affects the event contractors themselves, their customers, organizers, and exhibitors.
