Showcasing the best and brightest of ecotourism, the International Ecotourism Society (TIES) is hosting its seventh annual Ecotourism and Sustainable Conference (ESTC) at the Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi, Kenya.
Taking place from Sept. 24-27, the ESTC is a leading platform for industry stakeholders engaged in ecotourism and sustainable tourism. Aiming to strengthen commitment to tourism’s role in sustainable community development efforts, the conference also features ideas, opportunities and solutions for the tourism industry to assist in conserving natural areas, alleviating poverty, empowering women, enhancing education, and improving the health and well-being of local communities.
The conference features presentations by Costa Christ, editor at large, National Geographic Traveler; Dr. Munir Virani, Africa programs director, The Peregrine Fund; and Jochen Zeitz of the Zeitz Foundation and creator of the Long Run Initiative.
