Joining the board of directors of UBM plc, a multinational media company headquartered in London, is a non-executive director.
Being appointed to the Audit and Nomination Committees on Jan. 27 is John McConnell, who will become chairman of the Audit Committee effective March 1. He will succeed Jon Newcomb, who has chaired the Audit Committee since 2008 but will remain on the board.

McConnell is group finance director of Inchcape plc, an automotive group that operates in 26 developed and emerging markets around the world. An Australian national, he joined Inchcape in 1999 as chief financial officer of its Australian and New Zealand businesses and was subsequently promoted to CEO of that region before being appointed to his current role in October 2009.
Prior to joining Inchcape, McConnell worked with Reckitt and Colman (now Reckitt Benckiser) for 13 years in a variety of senior financial roles in the UK, Germany and Australia.
There is no additional information required to be disclosed pursuant to Listing Rule 9.6.13 in relation to McConnell’s appointment.
