Licensing Expo, the world’s largest licensing industry event, announced significant growth of the Global Partner Program. Organized by UBM Advanstar and sponsored by the International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA), this year’s Expo is scheduled for June 9-11 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.
The Global Partner program was developed by the show organizers to support exhibitors who participate in both Licensing Expo in the U.S. and Brand Licensing Europe in the UK. Partner benefits include complementary Virtual Press Office listings, coverage in License! Global magazine and special promotions via email and in the official Show Directory.
“When we started the Program in 2009, there were only 45 companies exhibiting at both shows and this has now grown to 80,” said Jessica Blue, vice president, Licensing Expo. “These companies are operating globally and exhibiting at Licensing Expo to find new partners and strengthen existing ones.”
More than 450 brands and companies will exhibit at the Expo, many with larger spaces to showcase expanded brand portfolios. This number includes more than 80 new and returning Global Partners.
Jeff Lotman, chief executive officer, Global Icons, shared how the Program benefits his company as an exhibitor.
“Exhibiting as a Global Partner at the Licensing Expo and Brand Licensing Europe showcases our reach and capabilities for current and potential clients and licensees,” he shared. “We’re excited to leverage our global reach this year and really propel our clients’ brands further.”
Now in its 35th year, 15,700 retailers, licensees, manufacturers, distributors and licensing agents from more than 90 countries come together at Licensing Expo with 5,000 of the hottest brands to discuss licensing and brand extension deals.
