Duke University-owned Washington Duke Inn & Golf Club in Durham, N.C., announced the appointment of a new sales manager.
Jon Campbell, who was a former director of conference services in 2006, will report directly to Jack Schmidt, the property’s newly hired director of sales and marketing.
“He’s returning to the Inn with an even greater wealth of hospitality experiences,” said Schmidt.
Campbell most recently was the director of food and beverage at The Carolina Inn in Chapel Hill, N.C. He was also a director of operations at Colgate Inn in Hamilton, N.Y., and held various management roles at J.P. Morgan Conference Centers in New York City, North Maple Inn at Basking Ridge in Basking Ridge, N.J. (now the Dolce Hotels and Resorts at Basking Ridge), and Doral Forrestal Hotel & Conference Center in Princeton, N.J. (now the Princeton Marriott at Forrestal).
