Wilmington Convention Center, the largest convention center on the North Carolina coast, announced the launch of a new website created with an innovative approach.
Featuring a virtual 360 degree tour, the Wilmington Convention Center’s website takes meeting and convention planners on a digital journey though the convention center’s venues and amenities.
“We think our new website will give meeting and convention planners a much better idea of our capabilities and venues,” said Susan Eaton, general manager, Wilmington Convention Center.
Starting within an overview map of the entire facility, the virtual tour then takes a closer look at the areas surrounding the waterfront building and certain interior and exterior meeting spaces. Shots of the event lawn, exhibit hall, grand ballroom, junior ballroom, various meeting rooms, marina concourse, river concourse and street view are included. The option for a 360 degree tour is also available.
“As more and more people coordinate meetings from afar, digital planning tools are becoming more important than ever,” said Eaton.
Cultured maritime theme and décor and riverfront location added with the area’s history and Southern charm makes the Wilmington Convention Center a popular coastal destination.
