The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA), which specializes in conferences of international associations for approximately 1,000 members from more than 90 countries, will host its own ICCA Research, Sales and Marketing Programme (RSMP) conference at Beurs van Berlage in Amsterdam. From July 12-15, approximately 150 representatives of conference locations, conference organizers and other professionals from the sector will discuss the latest information on business acquisition in the field of international association conferences.
According to association officials, the choice of Beurs van Berlage was a carefully considered one.
“Amsterdam is a truly international city and has long ranked among the top 10 European cities in terms of the number of international conferences it hosts. Our headquarters are also based in Amsterdam, which means we have plenty of staff on hand,” said Martin Sirk, CEO, ICCA. “Beurs van Berlage has been growing for years and has proven itself to be a reliable and experienced partner.”
The conference primarily focuses on how associations with the potential to organize a conference can best be identified and approached. Sessions will deal with conference content and ensuring that the organizer’s message is effectively communicated at the event.
Michiel Lindenbergh, commercial director, Beurs van Berlage, is also looking forward to the sessions.
“We have been an ICCA member and partner for many years and it has given us the insights we need to grow and develop. It is partly thanks to ICCA that in recent years we have grown to our current size, hosting approximately 30 multi-day international conferences every year,” he said. “This is another reason why it is fantastic to have the honor of hosting this event next week.”
