Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau Welcomes Tom Dolan as Director of Citywide Sales

Tom+DolanAtlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau hired Tom Dolan as director of citywide sales. In this position, Dolan will be charged with leading sales initiatives for major citywide conventions that will inhabit multiple hotels and the two major convention centers in downtown Atlanta.

“Citywide events bring great economic impact to the entire metro area, and Tom’s experience in hospitality sales is a strong fit for this role,” said William Pate, president and CEO, ACVB. “We look forward to his leadership and excellence as we continue to grow our convention business.”

Dolan brings more than 25 years of experience in hospitality to ACVB. In his previous position as market sales leader for Marriott International, Dolan oversaw a client portfolio consisting of 25 hotels and led a team of 60 sales associates. He was also responsible for hotel revenue of more than $300 million annually.

Dolan began his career as the senior sales manager for San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter and served in several leadership positions in multiple states. These include director of national accounts at Atlanta Marriott Marquis, director of sales for Marco Island Marriott Resort and director of sales and marketing for Renaissance Austin Hotel.
