The Organization Development Network is set to host their annual conference at the Loews Chicago O’Hare in Chicago, Ill. The multi-day event will take place from Oct. 14-17 and will encourage participants to think differently about their work, not as intervention but rather as innovation and delivering impact.
The theme of the OD Network’s 2017 conference is “The Call of Our Time: OD Innovating for Impact” with plenary and concurrent sessions hosted by leading experts in leadership, business and community building. The conference will feature a blend of insight from thought-leaders and practitioners with hands-on action learning in multi-stakeholder client systems.
Featured on the conference schedule are:
- The High-Performance, Horizontal Model: What Is It — and What Can We Learn from Maersk’s Transformation? – from Howard M. Guttman, a renowned OD practitioner, author, and founder of Guttman Development Strategies; and Ulf Hahnemann, CHRO, Maersk
- What Time is It … Are We Cracking Up or Cracking Open? – from Frances Baldwin, EdD, founder of Designed Wisdom; Juanita Brown, PhD, co-founder of the World Café and founder of Whole Systems Associates; and Stephanie Brown, MSOD, collaboration designer and graphic facilitator
- The 21st Century Growth Culture: If Not This, What? – from Andy Fleming, CEO and founder of Way to Grow, Inc., and co-author of An Everyone Culture: Becoming a Deliberately Developmental Organization with Harvard’s Robert Kegan, Lisa Laskow Lahey, Matthew L. Miller and Deborah Helsing
- A hands-on collaborative action session: Business Transformation in Organization Effectiveness: An Engagement with Allstate. During this unique opportunity, participants will work with Allstate executives to examine a real-time transformational challenge and apply their OD expertise to propose recommended interventions. Swiss futurist Jens U. Hansen will be leading the workshop activities.
