Breaking News: CES 2021 Is Going All-Digital

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) announced today that CES 2021 will be an all-digital experience. According to show producers, they are “re-imagining how to connect exhibitors, customers, thought leaders and media from around the world while prioritizing health and safety.”

For more than 50 years, CES has been the global stage for innovation. And CES 2021 will continue to be a platform to launch products, engage with global brands and define the future of the tech industry.

With the growing global health concerns about the spread of COVID-19, show producers feel it is not possible to safely convene tens of thousands of people in Las Vegas in early January 2021 to meet and do business in person.

An all-digital CES 2021 will allow the entire tech community to safely share ideas and introduce the products that will shape the future. Attendees will be able to participate in all the awe-inspiring moments of CES wherever they are in the world. CES is designing a unique experience for the tech industry.

CES 2021 will offer a highly personalized experience:

  • Media events. Hear from the world’s leading brands at exclusive digital press events.
  • Product showcase. Explore products and services through dynamic product showcases and live demos.
  • Keynotes and conferences. Enjoy a front-row seat for groundbreaking announcements and insights from the world’s tech leaders.
  • Meetings and networking. Engage with the brands and thought leaders.

Technology has helped us all work, learn and connect during the coronavirus pandemic, and it has presented real solutions to help solve complex global challenges. Show producers state that “We recognize that, particularly in these uncertain times, it is the partnerships of some of the most creative minds that bring the best solutions to life.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming the global tech industry to kick off the year with the world’s most influential digital technology event.

“Mark your calendars and get ready for an all-new CES coming in January. Please stay safe and healthy, and we look forward to seeing you in person at CES 2022.”

SEMA cancels November show in Las Vegas Too

The concurrent Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo and the Specialty Equipment Market Association Show said August 5 they are cancelling their annual conventions in November due to COVID-19 and exploring virtual options.

The co-located shows, which allow registrants of either convention to attend the other, drew upwards of 160,000 people last year, making them the second most attended annual shows only behind CES, which canceled its in-person 2021 convention last week.
