Spectra, the provider of Venue Management to the Owensboro Convention Center, has been safely hosting events over the last several months. The most recent was the 63rd Annual Kentucky Water and Wastewater Operators Association Conference, which took place June 28 – July 1.
“The conference was to have taken place in April of 2020, but had to be postponed due to the pandemic,” states Spectra’s general manager, Laura Alexander (pictured left). “We are thrilled to have been able to work with them to reschedule and to have KWWOA as our first convention back in the building!”
“The flexibility of our space really fits the needs for their event,” says Spectra’s director of sales, Dave DiSalvo (pictured right). “They are already considering Owensboro as the destination for their 2022 conference, which means an even greater positive economic impact for the community.”
“The rest of July is also looking to be busy with events that include Friday After 5, Supporting Heroes Tribute Gala, Kentucky Extension Homemakers Association Volunteer Outreach Network Conference, Kentucky Bar Association Summer Meeting, and we’ll also welcome for the first time to the venue the General Association of General Baptists,” adds Alexander.
