Dennis Birsa, President of CB Displays International, recently released the following statement:
After 52 years, the oldest tradeshow contractor in Las Vegas, CB Displays International, is closing its doors. Friday, October 15, was the last day a worker from CB set foot on a tradeshow floor and memories of people, companies and places have been flooding my brain. CB was incorporated in Chicago in 1969 by my mother and father, Ann and Carl Birsa. In 1976, Paul Willet and I headed west to open the Las Vegas office. From the onset we provided labor services as an extension service arm of exhibit designers and producers. Over the years CB added general contracting/decorating services for events and became a proud member of OSPI (Octanorm Service Partners International).
Gratitude and thanks go out to my family, friends, employees, clients, vendors, associates and my dear OSPI partners around the world. Both humbling and rewarding, it’s these past experiences and relationships that shape who I am. My job is now to tend to the transition to the next chapter for the business and my personal life. I look forward to enjoying time on my yacht and cruising to Alaska!
