Abstract Displays named finalist for award

abstractAbstract Displays, a Cincinnati-based tradeshow exhibit company, announced in April it has been named a finalist for 2010 Small Business of the Year (1 to 50 employees) by the Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber. The winner will be announced at the awards ceremony May 25 at the Millennium Hotel in downtown Cincinnati.

The Cincinnati USA Regional Chamber Small Business Excellence Awards celebrate the successes of Cincinnati USA’s top small businesses. A panel of 15 to 20 examiners composed of business owners and advisors will choose winners and runner-ups. Judges based their choices upon a close examination of critical business factors including customer focus, leadership style and company culture, strategic planning and sustainability of business, community involvement and, financial performance and sustainability.

“Sustainability is our focus. Even now, with the world in the middle of economic recession, we have made the choice that our company will not participate in the economic down-turn,” said Carla Eng, president of Abstract Displays. “Instead, we will continue to grow and assist our clientele with growth in their marketplace.”

The event is expected to draw approximately 600 attendees, including the region’s top political and corporate leaders. Winners will be given the opportunity to showcase their companies in a brief presentation. Michael Monahan, executive director of Life Success Seminars, Inc, is the keynote speaker for the event.
