CONEXPO-CON/AGG is proud to welcome Dave Turin of Discovery’s Gold Rush and Dave Turin’s Lost Mine and Aaron Witt, founder of BuildWitt, to a headlining conversation at the show’s all-new Community Zone at the 2023 show, March 14-18 in Las Vegas. The Community Zone is an area in the Festival Lot of the show where construction pros can gather to network, grab some refreshments, and participate in different events.
“It’s good to come back to CONEXPO-CON/AGG,” says Turin. “I learn so much every time I come, and I’m proud to lend my own experience and story to the thousands of construction pros that come each time.”
Turin last joined Witt at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2020 for an episode of the BuildWitt podcast. This time, they’ll open the Community Zone with an enthusiastic, informative, and entertaining talk, followed by a question-and-answer session open to everyone at the show.
“Dave is such a great voice for the construction and mining industries,” says Witt. “His story, having grown up in his family’s quarry business, and then turning to full-time mining, and all the equipment involved in both businesses, has given him a lot of unique experience I can’t wait to help share at CONEXPO-CON/AGG this year.”
“The Community Zone is the kind of area attendees have been asking for,” says CONEXPO-CON/AGG Show Director Dana Wuesthoff. “It’s a place for construction pros to recharge their devices and recharge themselves, all while still being able to continue learning and enjoying their experience at CONEXPO-CON/AGG.”
Turin and Witt will be in the Community Zone Tuesday, March 14, from 1-2 pm. In addition to Turin and Witt, the Dirt Bags Podcast hosts Luke Eggebraaten and Luke Payne will join the Association of Equipment Manufacturers’ (AEM) John Somers for “Drinks with Dirt Bags” Thursday afternoon, March 16, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Cojali USA will host a talk on “Overcoming Off-Highway Repairs: The Future of Maintenance” Friday, March 17, from 3-3:45 p.m.
Everyday at the CONEXPO-CON/AGG Community Zone will feature live music, influencer meetups, a concession area to purchase snacks or beverages and simply a spot where attendees can take a moment to relax and recharge.
