People on the Move July: Promotions and Retiring

Jeff Miller, President and CEO of Travel Portland, will retire in December after nearly 19 years. Under his leadership, Travel Portland generated $5.6 billion in visitor spending in 2023, supported 34,300 tourism-related jobs, and contributed over $260 million in local and state taxes. Mayor Ted Wheeler praised Miller’s vision and dedication, highlighting his impact on Portland’s reputation as a premier destination. Miller expressed confidence in Portland’s ongoing recovery and the tourism professionals who will continue his work. Cindy McElvaney started a new position as Pinnacle as Sr. Account Manager. Prior to her new position, she was a Sales Manager and RS Display in Gilroy, California from 2019 until 2024 and Account Executive Splash!events from 2006 until 2018. Kelvin D. Moore has been promoted to the position of Senior Vice President at Georgia World Congress Center Authority (GWCCA) and General Manager for the Savannah Convention Center.  Moore transitioned to his new role Before his new role at Savannah Convention Center, Moore was the general manager at the convention center. His industry career started in 1990 when he was a production specialist at SeaWorld and has a Business Management degree from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
