EXHIBITRECRUITER | EVENTRECRUITER has released ER Report 2026, a new industry resource focused on compensation and hiring roles in the exhibit and event industry.
The report covers 27 roles across sales, account management, project management, production, fabrication, creative, operations, and executive leadership.
Role profiles include compensation benchmarks, role definitions, alternative titles, career-path notes, and market context for exhibit houses and experiential event agencies. The roles range from account coordinator, account executive, and project manager to exhibit designer, fabrication manager, creative director, and warehouse manager.
Report builds on earlier compensation survey
The ER Report follows the long-running Compensation Survey that EXHIBITRECRUITER published with EXHIBITOR from 2003 through 2018.
That earlier survey gave exhibit houses, event agencies, and industry professionals a way to compare pay trends across the market. However, EXHIBITRECRUITER says hiring needs have changed since then.
“Compensation tells you what a role is paid. It doesn’t tell you what the role actually does, where the pressure lives, what separates strong performers from average performers, or why some positions are consistently harder to hire than others,” says Cal Cook, founder of EXHIBITRECRUITER | EVENTRECRUITER. “The ER Report was created to provide that context.”
Role profiles focus on exhibit and event jobs
Each role profile includes compensation benchmarks, alternative titles, career-path information, role definitions, hiring notes, and observations from the firm’s recruiting work.
The report focuses on exhibit houses and event agencies, rather than broader workforce data.
“The exhibit and event industry has unique organizational structures, unique talent challenges, and unique career paths,” Cook says. “The goal was to create a resource built specifically for this industry rather than forcing generic workforce data into a specialized market.”
