The Oklahoma City Convention Center and Legends Global have promoted Joshua Moore to director of food and beverage.
Moore will oversee food and beverage operations for conventions, conferences, banquets, tradeshows, and other events at the venue. Legends Global manages the convention center and serves as its food and beverage operator.
Moore has been with the company for nearly nine years. He joined in September 2017 at Chesapeake Energy Arena, now Paycom Center, home of the Oklahoma City Thunder. During that time, he helped establish the first Made in Oklahoma Coalition House restaurant at the Budweiser Brew House and worked with local producers.
He later joined the opening team at the Oklahoma City Convention Center and helped support the venue’s first event. Before his promotion, Moore served as executive chef.
In his new role, Moore plans to continue developing the convention center’s culinary program, expand partnerships with local and regional producers, and create more mentorship opportunities for culinary students.
He has also worked with culinary schools and public education programs in Oklahoma. Through Oklahoma ProStart, Moore helped guide a student team to national competition.
“Josh has been part of OKCCC’s story since the very beginning, and has exceptional knowledge of our venue, our community and our customers,” says Barbara Beaton, general manager of the Oklahoma City Convention Center for Legends Global.
Moore says he plans to build on the venue’s existing food and beverage program while strengthening ties with local businesses and culinary partners.
“I’m honored to step into this role at a venue I’ve called home since its opening,” Moore says.
The Oklahoma City Convention Center opened in 2021 and is operated by Legends Global. The 500,000-square-foot venue includes a 200,730-square-foot exhibit hall, a 29,874-square-foot ballroom, and nearly 45,000 square feet of meeting space. For more information, visit okc-cc.com.
