Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair, Salon de TIME to Host 630 Exhibitors

The 45th Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and 14th Salon de TIME will bring more than 630 exhibitors from 16 countries and regions to the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre Sept. 1-5.

The Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), Hong Kong Watch Manufacturers Association Limited, and Federation of Hong Kong Watch Trades & Industries Limited jointly organize the events.

Salon de TIME will feature more than 150 global brands, its highest participation since the pandemic. Organizers also report increased participation from Hong Kong and Guochao-inspired brands, along with new exhibitors from Norway, Singapore, and the United States.

International participation expands

The fairs will add a pavilion from Hengyang, Hunan Province, for the first time. Group pavilions will also represent France, Switzerland, Guangzhou, and Taiwan.

Meanwhile, the Salon de TIME Microbrands zone has grown to 29 brands from eight countries and regions. Organizers say both the number of participating brands and represented markets have doubled from last year.

“The Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and Salon de TIME together form the world’s largest one-stop watch and clock marketplace,” says Smilely Lam, associate executive director of HKTDC.

The two shows also include seven product zones at the Hong Kong Watch & Clock Fair and six themed zones at Salon de TIME. The latter includes World Brand Piazza, Chic & Trendy, Craft Treasure, Renaissance Moment, Wearable Tech, and Microbrands.

Trade data points to export growth

The fairs arrive as Hong Kong’s watch export market shows year-over-year growth.

According to HKTDC, the total value of watch exports reached approximately HK$30.5 billion during the first seven months of 2026, up 7.8 percent from the same period last year.

Several markets posted double-digit gains. Exports to Germany rose 21 percent, Switzerland increased 25 percent, and the United Arab Emirates climbed 91 percent.

HKTDC also reported that the watch industry’s export confidence index increased from 50.4 to 51.9 during the second quarter.

The fairs will support business activity through Click2Match, HKTDC’s artificial intelligence-powered business matching platform. The service opened Aug. 25 and will remain available through Sept. 12, allowing exhibitors and buyers to connect before, during, and after the physical events.

More than 40 business and education events planned

Organizers have scheduled more than 40 forums, seminars, networking events, watch parades, and other programs.

The Hong Kong International Watch Forum on Sept. 1 will bring together watch industry association leaders from mainland China, Germany, France, Switzerland, Japan, and Korea.

On Sept. 2, the Asian Watch Conference will focus on Hong Kong’s role in international watch trade. Speakers will include representatives from Euromonitor International, Chrono24, and Lazada HK.

The fairs will also mark the Watch & Clock Fair’s 45th edition with a “Time Tunnel” exhibition tracing the event’s development since its 1982 debut.

CENTRESTAGE adds co-located fashion event

CENTRESTAGE will run concurrently Sept. 2-5 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

Organizers say the combined watch and fashion events will bring more than 400 watch and fashion brands under one roof.

Salon de TIME will remain open to the public throughout its five-day run.
