UFI Names 59-Member Board of Directors for 2026-2029

The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI) has announced a 59-member board of directors for its 2026–2029 term. The board includes two representatives from U.S.-based organizations: Joyce Leveston of Javits Center and Liz Plizga of Diversified Communications.

The new terms begin after UFI’s Nov. 2 General Assembly at the 93rd UFI Global Congress in Bahrain. Members elect the board every three years, and it can include up to 61 directors.

The board implements General Assembly decisions, develops UFI policy, and prepares proposals on matters affecting international trade fairs. Those proposals then go to the membership for a vote at the General Assembly.

Alongside Leveston and Plizga, the roster includes representatives from exhibition organizers, venues, and industry associations across UFI’s regional chapters. Among them are David Harrison of IMEX Group, Hugh Jones of RX, Lisa Hannant of Clarion Events, and Wolfram Diener of Messe Düsseldorf.

UFI President Panittha Buri, vice chairperson of BHIRAJ BURI GROUP, congratulated the elected members and thanked departing directors for their service.

“While the Board provides leadership and direction, it is the combined commitment of the Board and the wider membership that brings our association to life and enables it to thrive,” Buri said.

UFI represents exhibition organizers, venue operators, industry associations, and selected industry partners worldwide. For more information, visit ufi.org.
