Legends Global Names Caroline Wright EVP of North American Venues

Legends Global has appointed Caroline Wright executive vice president of North American venues.

Wright brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in sports and entertainment venue operations. In the role, she will lead venue operations across Legends Global’s North American portfolio, including arenas, stadiums, theaters, and convention centers.

Wright joins Legends Global from Tepper Sports & Entertainment, where she served as senior vice president and chief venues officer. In that role, she led venue operations and capital strategy for Bank of America Stadium and Atrium Health Performance Park, home to the National Football League’s Carolina Panthers and Major League Soccer’s Charlotte FC.

During her tenure, she negotiated $650 million in public investment for the Panthers’ $800 million stadium renovation.

Career includes 27 years at MLSE

Before joining Tepper Sports & Entertainment, Wright spent 27 years at Maple Leaf Sports & Entertainment (MLSE). She rose to vice president of operations and general manager of venues, directing seven facilities that supported the Toronto Maple Leafs, Toronto Raptors, Toronto FC, and Toronto Argonauts.

Her work at MLSE covered more than 433 annual events and included four championship seasons: the National Basketball Association Championship, Major League Soccer Cup, Calder Cup, and Grey Cup.

Over her career, Wright has helped deliver major events, including the National Hockey League All-Star Game, National Hockey League World Cup of Hockey, National Basketball Association All-Star Game, Canadian Football League Grey Cup, International Ice Hockey Federation World Junior Championships, Major League Soccer Cup Final, and the 2020 National Hockey League Return to Play Bubble.

Portfolio includes convention centers

Legends Global’s North American venue network includes stadiums, arenas, theaters, and convention centers. Its convention center portfolio includes Moscone Center in San Francisco, Colorado Convention Center in Denver, and Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia.

The company says its North American network includes more than 250 venues.
