Champion Exposition Services expands Las Vegas operations

Champion Exposition Services recently announced the expansion of its Las Vegas warehouse facility and the addition of tradeshow industry veterans, Nora Summers and Rhonda Kerr. The changes are part of Champion’s longer term investment strategy and evolving business model in the experiential events industry.


“We have expanded our Las Vegas warehouse to meet the growing needs of our clients,” said Todd Neely, vice president of sales and account management for the Western region of Champion Exposition Services. “The five-year contact for the warehouse, located about a mile and half from the major hotel and conference centers on the Las Vegas strip, will ensure that Champion can continue to expand its operations in the one of the most popular conference and tradeshow destination cities in the world, as well as exceed the changing needs of corporate and association clients.”

In addition, Champion announced two tradeshow industry veterans have joined the Las Vegas team. Nora Summers recently rejoined Champion as vice president of account management. Summers has more than 20 years of industry experience, including the past three-and-half years as assistant director of account management at Freeman. Prior to Freeman, she was with Champion for 10 years.

Rhonda Kerr has more than 28 years of industry experience. She began her career as a show and expo manager with a multi-management company. Her experience in the general service contractor business includes 14 years at Freeman and two years at GES. She was recently honored in the Cambridge Who’s Who in America in 2010.

“We are excited to have Nora back with us and look forward to her being an integral part of the account management team,” said John Koval, senior vice president of account management at Champion. “And we welcome Rhonda’s experience in the events industry, which exemplifies the high quality service that customers expect from Champion.”

Earlier this year, Champion implemented its new Eventrac™ Technology Suite, a full-service suite of web-based technology tools for all aspects of event management. Later this year, Champion will roll out its new Eventrac Exhibitor Ordering system, the next generation of online ordering, which offers a full catalog of merchandising items as well as tools for booth layout, budget control and deadline alerts.
