DesignShop’s ‘ShowCast’ puts broadcast booth on the show floor

DesignShop has introduced ShowCast, a portable broadcast booth giving exhibitors and marketers a new tool to reach their audiences. Designed to transform the tradeshow and conference experience, ShowCast provides organizations a way to effectively communicate remotely from the show floor and then through social media.

ShowCast is a portable and modular broadcast booth that enables users to not only communicate directly with a live audience, but also to stream the broadcast over the Internet, as well as record and edit a video for posting to social media sites.

“Sometimes, companies need to cast a wider net than just the people in front of them on the show floor. ShowCast makes that happen,” said Doug Hughes, president, DesignShop. “This is a perfect solution for an important announcement, to demonstrate or launch a product, train employees or for a variety of other reasons. It creates buzz for the occasion through the excitement of a professional live broadcast, which can be recorded and used later in a variety of ways.”

ShowCast is a turnkey offering, which includes a modular broadcast exhibit that fits into a 10×10-foot space and can be customized with an organization’s branding. The technology package features:

•    Full complement of LED lighting.
•    Three wireless microphones.
•    One table microphone.
•    Thee cameras, which are operated remotely; and,
•    Two monitors with one acting as a teleprompter.

A full-production service package is included with each ShowCast rental featuring professional talent to write and direct broadcasts. Additional equipment and services, such as pre- and post-editorial work, are available to customize the offering.

“ShowCast offers a tremendous return on investment for anyone using it,” said Hughes. “Putting together a comparable broadcast capability would cost much more and wouldn’t provide the versatility and potential to increase sales by reaching customers through multiple points of contact.”

ShowCast enables users to harness social media to reach target audiences. Videos of broadcasts can be edited and posted a company website, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Vimeo or as a podcast.

“In our digital world, video has become an important way to grab attention and engage an audience, so this is an affordable option that gives users polished, professional results,” said Hughes.

ShowCast can be used in office settings for a variety of uses to reach employees, customers or other constituents who may be located in multiple locations.
