Echelon Design expands green initiatives

Recommitting themselves to environmental and sustainability issues, Echelon Design Inc. has expanded its green initiatives.

Company officials touted over 115,000 pounds of recycled exhibit components, such as crates, furniture, carpet and padding, have been ground up and reused.

Further examples cite wood shipped to power plants in Wisconsin and then burned for fuel while metal is separated and shipped to scrap yards.

Reid Harman, president and founder, Echelon Design Inc., stated the company has a corporate responsibility to the environment.

“The exhibit industry generates large quantities of unused materials due to production and obsolescence. Most projects generate components that need to be disposed of once a job is completed or outlived its use,” said Harman.
