The Miami Beach Convention Center (MBCC) has named Encore as its preferred on-site provider for audiovisual, rigging, and digital branding services. The partnership, which began October 1, 2025, makes Encore the official provider of AV production, rigging review, and digital signage across the MBCC campus.

Encore currently supports more than 2,100 venues in 21 countries and produces over 350,000 events each year with a global team of 12,000 professionals.

“By working closely with Encore, our customers, and our contract partners, we are committed to delivering not just state-of-the-art technology, but also a truly seamless and client-focused event journey,” says MBCC General Manager Freddie Peterson. “Together, we will set a new benchmark for service, value, and industry-leading experiences in Miami Beach and beyond.”

Encore supports more than 100 venues across South Florida and employs more than 450 team members in the region. According to MBCC, the on-site leadership team brings over 75 years of combined experience in event technology and hospitality. The company also partners with local industry associations and contributes to nonprofit initiatives.

“This partnership will bring an abundance of resources to MBCC and synergies to the event planning process,” says Mike Stengel, senior vice president of global strategic partnerships and venue relations at Encore. “Our people-first mindset and production expertise will help create memorable experiences for millions of event attendees.”

Owned by the City of Miami Beach and managed by Oak View Group, the MBCC contributes significantly to South Florida’s convention and tourism economy. The venue reopened in 2020 following a $640 million renovation and now offers 1.4 million square feet of event space, including a 60,000-square-foot Grand Ballroom, nearly 500,000 square feet of exhibit halls, and 84 breakout rooms. The campus also features Venu, a private event space; the Rum Room restaurant; and more than nine acres of public park space.

Planned capital improvements include a $19 million facility upgrade program and a $1.5 million investment in digital signage. The venue will also be joined by the 800-room Grand Hyatt Miami Beach, scheduled to open in 2027.
