Experient employee honored by PCMA at IMEX Frankfurt

Experient, the source for integrated meeting and event solutions, has announced that Ping He, director of global sourcing and partnership development, was honored as the inaugural recipient of the PCMA Global Meetings Executive of the Year Award.  Ping was honored by PCMA in conjunction with IMEX at the annual IMEX Awards Gala Dinner in Frankfurt, Germany on Wednesday, May 23, 2012.

The PCMA Global Meetings Executive of the Year Award is presented to honor a meeting planner who has demonstrated a vision, commitment and passion for the advancement and education of the global meetings industry. This person regularly conducts global meetings and has shown a vast knowledge of important cultural customs, global business norms and has been successful in advancing their organization’s success.

“Under Ping’s stewardship, our global business development efforts, brand recognition, and global industry partnerships have exploded,” said Rick Binford, CMP, Experient president, event management services. “We are now working with our clients all around the world to elevate the overall effectiveness of their global meetings strategies.”

Ping He (pronounced Her) has worked diligently since 2003 to play an instrumental role in expanding Experient’s global meetings management capabilities. She strives to embrace the different ways business is conducted throughout the world while focusing on perfecting the client’s event experience.  Over the past two years, Ping’s successful efforts have resulted in Experient conducting business in 37 countries and 102 global cities in 2011 alone.  She has also played an integral role in winning major Fortune 200 accounts and conducting business at major global venues such as the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

“Ping has been a driving force, always demonstrating the pinnacle of professionalism, always demanding, always pushing for more, but always fair, always with the single focus of achieving a great event for the client, no matter where in the world that might be,” said David Spain, PCMA member, managing partner at The Partnership.

In addition to the impact Ping has had with Experient, she continues to actively give back to the industry.  She has participated as the speaker and moderator at the PCMA 2009 Annual Meeting, IAEE China seminar, and speaks regularly with global suppliers such as Hyatt, Hilton and Global Alliance.  Additionally, she has authored articles on international topics for organizations and publications such as ASAE, M&C and IAEE.  Ping has also served as a member of the IAEE Asia Council for several years.

“Throughout her time with Experient, Ping has crisscrossed the globe numerous times, serving as a sought-after global business speaker, author, thought leader and educator,” said Binford. “And when it comes to passion, Ping simply sets the standard. I am most pleased that we have had the privilege of sharing ‘our’ Ping with the global industry at large.”
