Hargrove adds industry veteran to its tradeshow team

Hargrove, a tradeshow, event and exhibit company, has announced that an industry veteran has joined the company as executive director of new business development for tradeshows. This new employee will work out of the company’s expanding West Coast offices, and will focus on new business development and key account management.

Prior to joining Hargrove, Mark Johnson, the new director, was with Champion Exposition Services as vice president of national accounts and oversaw a portfolio of accounts in the energy, medical, consumer and technology industries.

“Mark is an important addition to our team as Hargrove continues to experience tremendous year-over-year growth in the last several years,” said Tim McGill, CEO of Hargrove. “Our clients are looking for a true partner and they want personalized service and creativity in helping them achieve their strategic objectives. Mark has an incredibly strong reputation in the industry as someone who is adept at responding to the changing needs of the marketplace. We look forward to Mark’s successful future with Hargrove.”

Before his career with Champion, Mark was with GES and served as an account executive and account manager. He began his career on the show floor as a member of the labor team.

“The event industry is in a transformative state of change,” said Johnson. “Given Hargrove’s commitment to client success, the industry stands to benefit overall. I look forward to collaborating with our valued clients to identify strategic opportunities for growth and mutual success to produce powerful face-to-face marketing experiences.”
