HCEA Association Roundtable becomes stand-alone event

Healthcare Convention & Exhibitors Association (HCEA) will hold an Association Roundtable on Nov. 20, at the Intercontinental Chicago – Miracle Mile, for healthcare association show organizers and exhibition managers.

A perennial favorite held at every HCEA Annual Meeting, the HCEA Association-Only Roundtable is now being offered as a stand-alone event.

This open discussion forum offers a unique opportunity for healthcare association professionals to share best practices, make new industry connections and learn about the latest developments in the world of healthcare convention marketing.

The roundtable will be moderated by Katie Burke CEM, exhibits manager, Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Burke has over 10 years of experience in event planning and exhibit management and held various positions overseeing meeting logistics, exhibit sales, floor plan development and budgets. She joined the Academy’s meetings team in July 2008 where she currently manages the exhibit program, sales team and logistics for the Academy’s Food & Nutrition Conference & Expo.

Before arriving at the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics, Burke worked as the manager of Exhibits & Sponsorships for the Association of Legal Administrators and Exhibits Coordinator for the American Academy of Pediatrics. Potential discussion topics include:

  • Do you anticipate the recent EU legislation to affect your meetings in 2015?
  • How can your organization build traffic in the exhibit hall?
  • What are some of the latest and most creative sponsorship opportunities?
  • What do physicians really think of having their interactions with the healthcare industry publicly reported?

All HCEA associate members and other industry healthcare association professionals are invited to attend the roundtable, which will be held at the Intercontinental Chicago – Miracle Mile. The price for HCEA Associate members is $89; for non-members, the price is $129.

The event will be held from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and will include breakfast, lunch and an evening reception sponsored by Greater Philadelphia Life Sciences Congress. For more information registration and sponsorship opportunities, visit http://www.hcea.org/?page=events_roundtable.
