Demitri Chaconas, A Dedicated Tradeshow Industry Professional

The tradeshow and events industry mourns the loss of Demitri Chaconas, a consummate professional and cherished colleague who passed away recently. Originally from Washington, D.C., Demitri built a remarkable career spanning over 17 years, leaving an indelible mark on the countless clients and teams he worked with. He was known for delivering exceptional service and fostering meaningful connections throughout his life.

Demitri began his career in the tradeshow world with Freeman, where he spent more than a decade as a Sr. Exhibitor Services Representative and later as a Client Solutions Manager. Known for his meticulous attention to detail and client-focused approach, he was instrumental in overseeing the installation, logistics, and dismantling of major exhibitions and events.

In 2016, Demitri joined PLUS Studios as Director of Client Relations, a role in which he thrived for nearly seven years. At PLUS, he brought a strategic mindset to managing large-scale event logistics, consistently crafting memorable experiences for clients while strengthening partnerships across the industry. His ability to build trust and exceed expectations was the cornerstone of his professional ethos.

Most recently, Demitri served as Portables Manager at Circle TPR, where his dedication to service and expertise in logistics continued to shine. Throughout his career, he was admired for his unwavering commitment to excellence, his ability to lead with kindness, and his passion for creating impactful events.

A graduate of the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, with a degree in History and German, Demitri’s intellectual curiosity and love for learning enriched both his personal and professional life. He tackled challenges with creativity and tenacity, earning the respect and admiration of his peers.

Demitri will be remembered not only for his professional accomplishments but also for his warm personality, sharp sense of humor, and the genuine care he extended to everyone he met. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, integrity, and the countless lives he touched.

A date for Demitri’s services has not yet been announced. Our deepest condolences go out to his family, friends, and colleagues. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
