mdg Announces Next Executive Roundtable Series

New registration requests accepted through April 6

mdg, a Freeman company has announced the next slate of sessions for Leading Through Disruption: An Executive Roundtable Series. Sponsored by Freeman, this monthly peer-to-peer exchange for senior-level executives focuses on future-scaping and change management. Originally created to provide insights and connections needed to thrive in the wake of the pandemic, the emphasis is now on preparing for the return of in-person events. Each month, mdg invites a thought leader to give a 20-minute presentation in his or her specialty area. Topics include case studies of successful events (physical and digital), innovative methods for keeping audiences engaged, aligning organizational objectives with technology/vendor solutions, using data effectively to inform decision-making, etc. The information-rich presentations are followed by 40 minutes of breakout discussions that happen in small (15 or fewer people) peer groups.

The slate of sessions for Q2 2021 includes:

  • Case Study: All-Digital CES
    April 7  |  2:00 PM Eastern
In January, the most important technology event in the world was staged in an all-digital format. On April 7, Consumer Technology Association’s president and CEO Gary Shapiro, executive vice president Karen Chupka and senior vice president of marketing and communications Jean Foster will engage in an open dialogue about the planning, production and promotion of CES 2021. They will cover how they approached taking this iconic event online, what lessons they learned, and, most importantly, what transferrable advice they have for fellow participants of the CEO Executive Roundtable Series.
  • Translating Audience Research into Actionable Insights, Part 2
    May 5  |  2:00 PM Eastern
As event organizers plot their return to in-person events, uncertainty continues to rule the day. Or does it? Hear Ken Holsinger, the head of Freeman’s Digital & Data solutions group present the latest wave of research that addresses how attendees and exhibitors are feeling about the return to live, the short- and long-term role of hybrid, and the outlook for events in a post-vaccine world.  How key pieces of data can be applied to achieve business objectives before and after the return to physical will be discussed.
  • The Future of Exhibiting: A Panel Discussion
    June 2  |  2:00 PM Eastern
Pre-COVID, we held these truths to be self-evident, that exhibitors counted on tradeshows for cost-effective exposure to new audiences, that a decision not to attend an event posed too great of a competitive risk, and that nothing could replace the power of face-to-face. And now? Hear a panel of exhibitors discuss their plans (timing, budget, and other considerations) for returning to in-person events, the role digital events will or won’t continue to play in their marketing strategy and what kind of support they want from event organizers in the future.

Current participants will automatically be re-registered for the series continuation. Senior-level executives from organizations that own and/or produce events who are interested in joining should email Sveta Pyntikova at sveta.pyntikova@mdg.agency before April 6 to request an invitation. Breakout discussion groups are determined in advance and limited in size to maintain an online environment conducive for idea sharing and networking.
