Recognized as the 2013 Booth of the Year at the 85th annual Western Veterinary Conference and the best island exhibit at the North American Veterinary Conference, the Access TCA-designed exhibit is part of Merck’s integrated campaign promoting Activyl, its flea-and-tick product.


The Merck team holds one of its two awards for its exhibit featuring flea-and-tick products.

The creative and account teams at Access produced a visually stunning environment that entertained visitors with the tagline: “If you had fleas, you’d want Activyl, too.” Attendees spent four to five minutes engaged in a competitive educational challenge at gaming stations. After participating in the game, visitors entered a photo booth, and their pictures were transformed into whimsical Manimal luggage tags.

“The Activyl game and photo activities delivered the traffic we wanted,” said John Janelli, associate director of marketing, U.S. Companion Animal. “It’s the busiest I’ve ever seen our booth.

The brisk business translated into measureable success.

“We were proud to support Merck’s outstanding exhibit staff,” said Michael Friedland, Access account director for Merck. “The activities we designed led to genuine engagement with visitors and measurable results. At NAVC, we more than tripled the leads from the previous year.”
