Nominations are currently being accepted for the Lifetime Achievement Award for Convention Centers and Exhibit Halls. Dave Anderson, chair of the Convention Centers/Exhibit Halls Committee for International Association of Assembly Managers (IAAM) will receive the nominations through March 1.
There have been five previous recipients of the award including Tom Liegler, Don Jewell, Jimmie Fore, Dan Saunders and Cliff Wallace, who were honored with the award for their outstanding contributions and service to the convention center industry.
When submitting a nominee, keep the general criteria in mind that will be used by the Lifetime Achievement Award Selection Committee to evaluate the candidates. These criteria include a minimum of 20 years of service to the convention center industry, contributions of lasting value to our industry as a lecturer, presenter, author or innovator; leadership contributions and committee work/service to IAAM or other industry related associations; a minimum of 10 years of membership in the IAAM as a member in good standing; demonstrates a passion for the industry through participation with both IAAM and ICCC conferences throughout their career; special recognitions, certifications and awards of significance to our industry as well as exemplary work experience with convention centers, exhibit halls or supporting industry related companies with personal and professional attributes that reflect favorably on the image of the convention center industry.
