Megee joins PHLCVB after spending almost 30 years with Sheraton Philadelphia Downtown, formerly the Wyndham Franklin Plaza Hotel. She served as the director of association sales at Sheraton Downtown where she developed an aggressive campaign to market its newly renovated meeting space to gain new business. As a result, she exceeded her 2013 year-end goal by $1.6 million. Her career has included positions in both operations and sales, such as director of catering sales, senior sales manager and director of group sales.

“I have had the absolute pleasure of working alongside the industry’s finest professionals, which has allowed me the opportunity to grow within my profession. With my experience within the local market, I understand the selling process in Philadelphia and the importance of the Pennsylvania Convention Center. I join a terrific team and look forward to exceeding my individual goals and contributing to the success of the PHLCVB,” stated Megee.

Megee brings almost three decades of hospitality and sales experience. She began her career in 1985 as a catering coordinator for Wyndham International in Philadelphia. Continuing to expand on her hospitality expertise, Megee worked her way up, holding positions such as sales manager, convention services manager, and assistant director of catering, before moving to Houston, Texas in 1992 where she held the position of director of catering at the Wyndham Greenspoint Hotel.

In 1995, she returned to Philadelphia as director of catering at the Wyndham Franklin Plaza. Megee mentored and developed managers to grow within the company, resulting in five promotions to director of catering positions throughout the company. In her last position with Wyndham as a senior sales manager, Megee was awarded the President’s Circle and Chairman’s Circle Awards twice for exceeding booking goals by 25 percent and 65 percent

She currently maintains professional affiliations with Meeting Professionals International and Professional Convention Management Association.
