Visit Mexico USA the company exclusively charged with promotion and marketing of all tourism for the country of Mexico in the United States, rallied in support of the New York State Latino Restaurant Association. The event was held on February 24th hosted by Congresswoman Maloney, (D-Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn.)

“Visit Mexico USA applauds the efforts of Rep. Maloney to support a bill that would provide $60 billion to the 2021 Federal Restaurant Revitalization Fund for further relief to the industry in the Covid-19 pandemic. This industry was severely impacted in the past two years and the Latino Restaurant Association has felt the great burden of the pandemic, as have all restaurant workers throughout Queens and the State of New York,” says Gary K. Levi, Chairman, Visit Mexico USA.

Congresswoman Maloney stated in a post-event press release, “New York City is the restaurant capital of the nation, but unfortunately, restaurants bore the brunt of the Covid -19 crises, especially during the spike of the Omicron variant. With restaurant owners and employees struggling as a result of this pandemic, I am proud to continue to advocate for relief in Washington.”

“We need to continue to follow Congress and Rep. Maloney’s lead and pass future legislation that would provide much needed additional financial support to the industry and its workers,” added Mr. Levi.

Principals of Visit Mexico USA include prominent businessman and real estate investor Kent. Swig (whose family founded the world-renowned Fairmont Hotels) business innovator, leader, and former New York State government official Gary K. Levi; and Alvaro Vitolo, an international business development executive with extensive Mexican business experience.
