What Can’t Be Done with the Flexbox

by Jillian Fafard, Director of Marketing, Aluvision US

Project timelines are short, clients are asking you to do more with less, and the need for versatile, reusable rental inventory that lasts is real.

Beyond providing durable modular frames and LED tiles, Aluvision supports our partners in live events with complete solutions that streamline their operations and check the box for creativity and efficiency.

Take Aluvision’s Flexbox: with floor and roof modules, plus four corner posts, you get a strong foundation on which to build an endless variety of brand engagements.

Can I customize the look and feel of the Flexbox?

The Flexbox is compatible with Aluvision’s frames and designed to be customized with a variety of infills, from glass and hard panel to SEG, to Hi-LED tiles and our decorative wooden louvers and shutters. You can fully close it in, leave sections open, and mix and match frames and infills (since all Aluvision frames are compatible and feature plug-and-play assembly).

The Flexbox is stackable and interconnectable. From one to 100, use the Flexbox for a pop-up activation or an entire event space.

Can I use the Flexbox for a double deck?

Each Flexbox unit measures about 20ft long by 7.7ft wide and 10.8ft tall. With our add-on staircase, railings, and terrace floor module, you can easily turn one Flexbox into a double deck. Because they are linkable and stackable, you can also create a variety of configurations unlike any other double deck solution on the market.

Leave the second floor open or stack a second Flexbox for a closed-in deck space compliant with safety regulations. The ceiling can be customized with track lighting, edge lighting, or lightboxes to complete your cozy atmosphere.

Made of steel with aluminum accents and engineered to ensure compliance, the Flexbox is safe and strong; the perfect solution when you’re looking to level up your clients’ experiential game.

Can I use the Flexbox outdoors?

While the Flexbox is a great solution for indoor activations, its original purpose is for temporary outdoor use.

Through clever engineering, the roof is waterproof—the corner posts double as a water drainage system! The customizability of the Flexbox allows for water resistant infills such as hard panel, glass, fabric, and Aluvision’s outdoor Hi-LED tiles. If the weather is on your side, you can even use Aluvision’s decorative wooden shutters and louvers for wall options.

Instead of renting a tent or pop-up structure, leverage the Flexbox to build your own pavilion suited to your clients’ goals and needs.

Can I transport the Flexbox by flatbed truck?

Designed by a company focused on saving you space and time, the Flexbox is engineered for compact storage via flatpack. The posts are packed between floor and roof module, which are bolted together to ensure all components stay in place without damage. Horizontal orientation provides optimal transportation, as six flatpacks (i.e. six Flexboxes) can be safely stacked on top of each other.

A horizontal flatpack can be transported via tractor-trailer truck or flatbed truck, and a flatbed can also transport one pre-assembled Flexbox unit.

Like all Aluvision’s modular event systems, the Flexbox is designed for plug-and-play assembly and can be quickly and efficiently installed right off the truck with a forklift.

Can I put a car in the Flexbox?

Aluvision’s Flexbox offers unlimited potential. Use it for a pop-up shop or a traveling brand engagement; build out a temporary showroom or create a VIP lounge. We’ve even seen our partners display a car in the Flexbox—talk about driving an impactful experience!

Each Flexbox setup is an invitation to engage. From dynamic Hi-LED visuals to refined, purpose-built interiors, every detail is designed to make a brand stand out.

So, what can be done with Aluvision’s Flexbox?

With the Flexbox, the sky’s the limit (even with a rooftop)!

This award-winning, complete event solution is quickly becoming a go-to for our partners who provide experiential marketing activations.

At the core of the Flexbox lies a robust and intelligent modular framework. Each unit is engineered for maximum stability, seamless connection, and efficient assembly—making it easy to build anything from a compact setup to a full multi-level environment. Designed for both indoor and outdoor use, the Flexbox structure is as versatile as it is durable.
