UFI Open Seminar convenes in Bangalore

Convening in Bangalore, India, for the first time are meeting industry executives for UFI’s ninth Open Seminar in Asia, an international association representing the exhibition industry. The two-day event runs Mar. 6-7 and brings together about 150 delegates from 14 countries.

Spotlighting the country as a destination for future exhibitions, UFI officials stated there are more than 20 of their members based in India. Findings of UFI research reveal net space sold at tradeshows in India expanded by nearly 17 percent in the past five years.

According to Paul Woodward, managing director, UFI, India is a key market because of its dynamics and growth potential.

“India is one of the most dynamic, high-growth exhibition markets in Asia and the Bangalore International Exhibition Centre has long been a strong supporter of UFI. So we are very pleased to bring UFI’s most important Asian event to Bangalore this year,” said Woodward.

Main topics to be discussed include current and future challenges facing venues, building a successful exhibition business in India, social media and more.
