Setting attendance records at the UPAKOVKA/UPAK ITALIA 2014 show in Moscow, co-organizer Messe Düsseldorf noted the importance of the Russian packaging sector.
An estimated 20,000 visitors from Russia and the entire CIS region attended UPAKOVKA/UPAK ITALIA 2014 along with interplastica 2014, an international plastics and rubber tradeshow, also held concurrently.
Meanwhile, about 300 exhibitors from 28 countries presented a range of products among the processing, packaging and printing industries in more than 59,000 square feet of exhibit space.
Erhard Wienkamp, division director, Messe Düsseldorf, noted his company was pleased with the show’s results.
“The Russian Federation, with around 143 million inhabitants Europe’s most populous country, is one of the most important markets for food, beverage, cosmetics and pharmaceutical products. Modern packaging solutions are extremely important for these industries and the interest from the experts in the products and services at UPAKOVKA/UPAK ITALIA was impressive,” said Weinkamp.
The 2015 expo will occur Jan. 27-30, 2015, in Moscow, again concurrently with interplastica.
