Reporting strong attendance figures was ProWein, an international wine and spirits tradeshow. Now in its 2th year, the show was held at Messe Düsseldorf on Mar. 23-25.
Early attendance figures show about 48,000 attendees walked through the door, a 7 percent year-over-year increase. About 4,830 exhibitors from 47 countries were also in attendance.
According to show organizers, visitors showed great interest in wines from Germany, Italy and France – coincidentally, these were the countries with the largest country participations among exhibitors, show officials stated.
“This year’s anniversary event adds one more chapter to ProWein’s success story. The mood in the exhibition halls was the best and the number of international trade visitors from retail and gastronomy has risen once again. ProWein is the worldwide leading trade fair in the sector,” stated Hans Werner Reinhard, deputy managing director, Messe Düsseldorf GmbH.
The 2015 show is scheduled for Mar. 15-17 at Messe Düsseldorf. For more information, visit mdna.com.
