WorldFood Moscow sees 13 percent visitor increase

WorldFood Moscow, an international food and drink exhibition, took place Sept. 15-18 at the Expocentre in Moscow, Russia. The event brought together 30,071 unique visitors from 99 countries – a 13 percent increase from 2013.

In total, 1,674 food companies from 72 countries exhibited during the four-day event to network and conduct business with supermarkets, distributors, wholesalers, restaurateurs, retailers and food production companies from Russia and the CIS region.

“If you want to really sell to Russia, this is the show you need to be at,” commented Herma Sutjiamidjaja, marketing director, P.T. Dharma Samudera Fishing Industries, Indonesia.

International exhibitor presence at this year’s event grew. Seventy percent of WorldFood Moscow 2014 exhibitors represented international brands.

Official delegations from Tunisia, South Africa, Serbia, Argentina, Morocco and other distinguished guests attended the event to seek new business.

“We’ve had visitors from Russia, Kazakhstan and Azerbaijan visiting our stand,” stated Akif Nadeem, general manager, Foodex, Pakistan.

Russia’s largest international food and drink event will return Sept. 14-17, 2015.
