NAEC 68th Annual Convention & 2017 Exposition Moves From Orlando to Atlantic City

The National Association of Elevator Contractors is proud to host the 68th Annual Convention & 2017 Exposition, the largest vertical transportation show in North America. Due to the effects of Hurricane Irma, this year’s Convention and Exposition has changed its location from Orlando, Fla., to the Atlantic City Convention Center in Atlantic City, N.J., September 22-26.

The 2017 Convention & Exposition will host more than 140 premier supplier exhibiting companies and provide experiential networking opportunities with industry professionals from around the world. Educational sessions will be offered for attendees to earn continuing education credits for accreditation. Further, roundtable discussions will give attendees the opportunity to discuss specific issues in a small group setting, allowing them to share valuable experiences and learn from one another, as well as network.

NAEC is delighted to be back in Atlantic City at the award-winning Atlantic City Convention Center, the largest convention facility in New Jersey. Over the years, NAEC has seen exceptional attendee numbers in Atlantic City. Averaging more than 2,300 attendees in recent years, NAEC is looking forward to another successful convention this year. Attendees will enjoy the close proximity between hotels and the boardwalk with an amazing selection of diverse restaurants, retail shops and exciting entertainment options, all just walking distance or a jitney ride from the convention center.

“The process of postponing convention dates in one city and relocating both the convention and the exposition components has been an amazing feat. Without the flexibility and “all hands on deck” cooperation of the entire Atlantic City hospitality community, especially Meet AC, the convention center, the Sheraton Atlantic City, Caesars, Bally’s and Harrah’s Atlantic City, achieving a project of this scope in the compressed planning timeline would not have been possible. We are most appreciative of Atlantic City’s “can do” spirit that has buoyed NAEC and our attendees throughout this process, and we look forward to a most successful NAEC 68th Annual Convention & Exposition,” said Teresa S. Witham, executive director, National Association of Elevator Contractors (pictured above).

Our hearts go out to the individuals of Florida and Orlando who are dealing with the effects of Hurricane Irma and we were delighted to be able to step-up and assist with the NAEC relocation and change of dates from 2018 to 2017,” added Spectra’s Dean Dennis, general manager of the Atlantic City Convention Center. “I am extremely proud of the teams who have rallied together to detail plans and advance this large show. We are looking forward to having them in Atlantic City.”

We invite you to join us for educational growth, networking, and the latest products from our industry’s leading vendors at the NAEC’s 68th Annual Convention & Exposition.
