BOB.tv kicks off programming for the events industry

Premiering Aug. 5 is BOB.tv – Best of Business, a new online platform that aggregates and delivers industry-specific content and community, serving content to the BtoB Events Industry.

“As BOB.tv was created from the input of its founding partners and their members in the events industry, it is especially rewarding to unveil the BtoB Events Industry Network, the first of what will be several industry networks serving a variety of global business communities,” said Tony Lorenz, co-founder and chief executive officer, bXb Group.

Much of the BOB.tv content is centered on face-to-face events with other content formats available, including video on-demand, whitepapers, interviews, case studies and blog posts. In addition, BOB.tv will soon include a comprehensive events industry calendar.

One of the key factors in BOB.tv’s value proposition for its viewers, or BOBsters, is its content procurement process. To deliver a quality experience, BOB.tv’s team researches and reviews content on a continual basis to furnish only content that is pertinent to the BtoB Events Industry in the areas of work, career and life are featured. While the network serves the events community, additional networks serving mainstream vertical market segments are currently under development.

The development of BOB.tv inspired an unprecedented collaborative effort from leading associations, media companies and brands that share a common mission of elevating the events industry in the global business community.

“MPI has long championed bringing the industry together through partnerships that provide greater value for our community. BOB.tv is one more example where, through these industry partnerships, we are able to offer meeting professionals easy access to educational content and industry programming,” said Paul Van Deventer, president and CEO, Meeting Professionals International (MPI).

Aside from MPI, BOB.tv’s roster of founding partners includes American Society of Association Executives’ (ASAE), International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE) and Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA).
