Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Adds Senior Catering Sales Manager & Certified Wedding Planner
Lake Buena Vista, Fla.-based The Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin has announced Jennifer Sharpe as its new senior catering sales manager and wedding planner. Sharpe, a certified wedding planner, will oversee weddings and other local social events for the property located in the heart of Walt Disney World Resort. She joins the team as the resort property prepares to expand with the opening of its third tower this summer, the Walt Disney World Swan Reserve. The 14-story, 349-room hotel will feature a one-of-kind event space on its top floor featuring windows offering unforgettable views of Walt Disney World Resort.
Sharpe has extensive experience in hotels, wedding planning and food and beverage. Having previously worked for the resort, she returns to the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin after other positions with wedding and event companies including Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings, The Ritz-Carlton, JW Marriott and Wonderful Weddings and Events.
A proven professional in the hospitality industry, Sharpe has earned numerous awards including the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Manager of the Quarter, Starwood Top Sales Award and has been recognized as the Honorary Event Manager for Orlando Magic Youth Foundation. She also holds certifications as an Achieved Certified Meeting Planner, Achieved Certified Wedding Planner and Wine Sommelier.
Sharpe is a graduate of the University of Central Florida.
