Show organizers for the 2010 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market announced that net-sold, square-feet exhibit space at the Salt Palace Convention Center in Salt Lake City, Utah surpassed the 2009 show, with no space left available.
The indoor portion of Outdoor Retailer Summer Market will host close to 1,040 total exhibitors, which is a 12 percent increase compared to last year. The exhibitor total also includes close to 170 new exhibitors, 48 percent more than the previous Summer Market.
Attendee pre-registration also indicates a strong show with store registration up 13 percent and individual buyer registration up 18 percent compared to the same time last year.
“O.R. Summer is shaping up to be action-packed, as well as exhibitor-packed, with lots of excitement builing from a sense of momentum in specialty retail, and an uptick in active outdoor participation,” said Kenji Haroutunian, Outdoor Retailer show director.
“The show has maintained strength by creatively serving the diverse and expanding outdoor recreation marketplace while also providing innovative solutions for the individual markets within the outdoor recreation industry.”
Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2010, the outdoor recreation industry’s week-long event, started with the Open Air Demo held at its new location, Jordanelle State Park in Heber City, August 2, followed by the Expo at the Salt Palace Convention Center August 3-6.
