Seattle Convention Center (SCC) has named Jesse Anderson executive director of emergency management.
Anderson will lead safety, security, and emergency management operations across SCC’s 14-acre downtown campus.
Anderson joins from King County Sheriff’s Office

Anderson joins SCC after a career with the King County Sheriff’s Office. Most recently, he served as undersheriff, overseeing operational and administrative functions as second in command.
His background includes investigative, supervisory, and executive leadership roles. In addition, he has worked on emergency operations tied to civil unrest, natural disasters, and major planned events.
Anderson also held a secondary assignment overseeing police operations at Seattle’s Lumen Field. In that role, he supported public safety planning for high-attendance sporting events and concerts.
Role supports safety initiatives
Anderson will report to Krista Daniel, vice president of event operations at SCC.
The role includes safety planning for guests, visitors, and SCC team members. He will also oversee C-Star, a street-level public safety and community resource office scheduled to open in August.
