Former LVCC chef opens global-themed restaurant

Chef Jesus Cibrian and Pastry Chef Leslie Cibrian, both of whom formerly worked at Las Vegas Convention Center (LVCC), are hosting a Grand Opening Launch of La Rue Marché Café restaurant and market. ECN 062015_SW_La Rue Marche CafeScheduled to take place June 26 from 6-8:30 p.m. at 2710 East Desert Inn Road, Las Vegas, NV 89121, the Las Vegas Chamber of Commerce will be in attendance for the ribbon cutting ceremony, slated for 7 p.m.

Located 2.5 miles east of the Convention Center, the restaurant offers a large array of bold flavors from around the world. Provocative flavors offer the diner an unforgettable experience no matter the time of day. La Rue Marché Café is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests experience a global encounter in a delicious context, serving everything from savory French Quarter Gumbo to a flavorful walk on the middle-eastern side with Baba Ganoosh, from the delicate poached pear to hearty Italian favorites with a twist like the Mediterranean pizza. Patrons can expect to dine on a hometown favorite, or leave behind the usual and venture across continents via their taste buds.

“I want the client to be able to come in and sample foods from all over the world,” said Chef Leslie Cibrian. “Any need the client has, we will go above and beyond to meet it.”

La Rue Marché Café’s location has been specially chosen with the idea of revitalizing the area. Chef Cibrian wants to create a different atmosphere and range of choice as of yet unseen by the locals.

“We’re trying to be grateful to the neighborhood with tasty food,” said Chef Cibrian. “We want to offer great food at a great value.”

While the opening of the Market portion of the establishment has yet to be announced, it will be multi-concept market where patrons are invited to a multi-tiered food experience from dining and experimenting to shopping and learning. It will be a sensory understanding of produce and floral aromas. Until then, La Rue Marché Café is a full service caterer that will design any menu around the concept of its customers.

The restaurant is open to the public daily from 7 a.m.-10 p.m. with a tapas happy hour from 5-8 p.m.
