London & Partners announces Association Directory re-launch

London & Partners’ convention bureau has relaunched their Association Directory, a comprehensive brochure for event planners. The directory offers an overview of how to book London for business tourism events and makes it clear which venues work best for different sized congresses within specific areas.

The guide lists the suppliers, venues, hotels and travel partners that are needed to make an event a success. This year, London & Partners has updated the 40-page guide in time for IMEX America 2013, with a host of new additions.

Newly listed social options include the EDF London Eye Barracuda, offering a dining experience on the River Thames, and the recently launched River Rooms at the Mermaid conference in the City of London. Additionally, the Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre and Central Hall Westminster are now promoting their combined facilities to house 2100 delegates in the heart of Westminster.

The Association Directory also features details of travel partners, including “oneworld events” – a partnership offering discounted rates and various delegate and organizer benefits on 12 airlines, including British Airways.

“This guide is a great tool for all event planners,” said Becky Graveney, head of associations, London & Partners. “The conference venues are segmented by size; over 1000 delegates, over 500 delegates and academic venues. There are also sections on social London, value London, green London, future and event services. A comprehensive map locates all the venues and hotels to help you navigate the city and the index lists all the capacities by layout.”

Travelers also expressed their positive feelings about the brochure.

“The London Associations Directory answered almost all of my questions about the city,” said Leslie Zeck, director of meetings, International & American Association for Dental Research (IADR) “This concise brochure covered all the available information needed like convention facilities, social venues, travel partners, etc. It made my research much easier.”
