New sales director for Seattle Mariners Ballpark events

The Seattle Mariners hired a director of Ballpark sales and marketing for Safeco Field, a functional and unique space for corporate meetings and employee events, major fundraisers, concerts, graduations and weddings.

Anderson will focus on cultivating new business opportunities with corporate clients.

“Safeco Field provides so many opportunities to ‘think outside the ballroom.’ My role is to understand an organization’s event goals and provide experience solutions that result in a truly memorable, once-in-a-lifetime experience for the attendees,” said Anderson.

Anderson spent over seven years at the MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, where she worked her way up through four positions: business development sales manager, executive meetings sales manager, national convention sales manager and special events sales manager. She came to Seattle in 2013 as director of catering and conference services at the Red Lion Hotel in downtown Seattle.

She is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. Her career in hospitality and events began at Penn State with a two-year internship in Club Seats & Suites at Beaver Stadium, the home of the Nittany Lions football team as well as a four-year stint as a Football Recruiting Liaison.

Anderson and her husband, Troy, live in Kirkland, Wash., with their young son, Ethan.
